How Off-Site Testing Enabled Seamless Installation without Network Downtime

Implementing a 1:1 Device Initiative in a New Jersey School District:

The Middletown Township Public School (MTPS) district is comprised of 17 K-12 schools. The district employs nearly 800 teachers, who are responsible for the education of nearly 10,000 students each year. During the 2016-17 school year, the district decided to implement an ambitious 1:1 Chromebook device initiative across all 17 of its schools. To ensure the success of this initiative, the district turned to Turn-key Technologies, Inc (TTI) for help.

With TTI's support, the district was able to

  • Update their switch infrastructure and eliminate the volume of hardware deployed in each rack for a more simple ecostyem.
  • Avoid network downtimes with a robust off-site wireless testing plan that guaranteed 100% optimization.
  • Install new fiber and re-purpose existing cabling to support legacy equipment and allow for new hardware solutions.
